Internal Competition

Internal Competition

Our first internal competition is simple and straight forward. The theme of the competition is Street photography.

The street photography can be defined as:

Street photography is quite simply about human society, our shared moments, our environments and our history. It's "photos of people in their habitat" as my friend Eugene coined it.

So anything along those lines goes basically. The competition is limited to a maximum five entry per person. The competition will be judged more on originality and ingenuity rather than technical details. Also, though not a requirement, we ask that you attach a short paragraph (no more than 50 words) on the idea of that photo, why you chose to submit that photo, what (if anything) that picture means to you.

Images can either be emailed through (keelephoto@hotmail.co.uk) or in case of printed images (i.e. film prints) contact us for more details. Images from all medium are welcome and will not be penalised e.g. if they are taken using a camera phone etc.

Deadline: 1st Mar. 2006

Prize: The prize is yet to be decided, but rest asure there will be one.

External competition

The Keele University Student Union Shop is holding a competitions. The brief is as follows:

Take a picture of student life in the 1st term. Entries will be judged on originality rather than photographic expertise.

In order to enter you need to submit your entries by printing them at the Digital Print work station. Entries can be printed from phones, digital cameras, CD's & memory cards. Though if you have a film camera and want to enter you scan scan your entry in and print using one of the methods aforementioned.

Closing date: 22nd Feb. 2006
